How many times have you had the privilege to sit through an incredibly boring, hard to understand powerpoint presentation?
We all have. But are you guilty of killing by powerpoint?
Probably.
Creating an engaging powerpoint presentation that is not stuffed with statistics, diagrams that make no sense, industry specific terms, acronyms and abbreviations is not an easy task.
I recommend sharing your presentation with a friend or family member who is unfamiliar with the topic of the presentation. If they can understand your presentation then your target audience will most likely understand your presentation.
I would recommend you shy away from any light colored fonts – as they are hard to read from far away.

Good suggestion – I remember the first time I used Powerpoint, I could definitely have used some guidance. Shortly thereafter, I found Seth Godin’s post about Powerpoint and was instantly ashamed of the horrors I’d committed. I know better now, I hope.
